Notice on Showreel Scene Pricing

I am writing this blog post to announce details of changes to the pricing of my Showreels for Actors Service over the coming year. The announcement is this:

I will be keeping my prices exactly the same for the next twelve months.

As a service provider in the film industry, I am very aware of both my own personal needs as a creative offering a service, but also of my potential clients in the industry, many of whom are going through a difficult time paying for all the things an actor needs, which includes headshots, classes, and showreels!

Showreel Shoot

I have always done my best to keep pricing consistent; incrementally raising prices every few years when it feels necessary or earned.

I am very aware that pricing of reels for actors can be very confusing, with some providers offering extremely cheap deals, and others charging a very high premium.

The showreels I offer have a very simple pricing structure, with no hidden costs. I am also the sole creative person behind the production of each reel; I write every scene, direct you, and edit the reels. When you hire me, you are hiring 20 years of filmmaking experience, where I have specialised in short form content. It is this experience and knowledge that makes me feel comfortable charging the price I charge, while also not wanting to raise my prices to be unreachable.

On a personal note; I want to mention that I very much appreciate and understand the changing nature of our industry, and how the economy is making it very difficult for us all. I am keen to keep offering a very personal, high-end service to clients, which will help you on your road to being cast in the projects you want to be cast in.

If you’re interested in my showreel packages, you can take a look right here.

For those of you who are interested in improving your showreel, but don’t currently have the means to buy a new scene/package, I highly recommend checking out my book on Amazon. I am also able to gift these books on Kindle for free, or, while I still have copies, send a paperback copy in the post. So don’t be shy to reach out if you’d like to read it but don’t currently want to spend the cash! The book includes ideas on how you can film scenes without a budget using only your phone, similar to the work I was doing for free during Covid.

Thanks for reading and stay creative!
